How to Reduce Eye Number

1.      Give Your Eyes Some Rest

If you want to improve your vision, the first thing you should do is to give your eyes some rest, which is extremely important for visual health. If you keep on staring at a screen for the whole day your eyes will get extremely tired and it will put a strain on your eyesight. The best thing is to take a break of 2-3 minutes from looking at the computer screen after every 50 minutes. You can just close your eyes or take a little walk in your office.

Another extremely effective way is to follow the 10/10/10 rule. This means that after working on the computer screen for ten minutes, take a ten second break and look and focus on something ten feet away. Try to give your eyes adequate rest by having enough sleep and giving your eyes screen free time.

2.      Do the Right Exercise for Your Eyes

Today, we spent a lot of time in front of screens. This can be stressful for the eyes and they can get tired. If you are looking for ways to improve your eye health and want to know how to reduce eye number, here are a few helpful exercises which you can easily do.

  • Try to Focus: A very good exercise for eyes is to focus on objects at different distances. You can train your eyes to do that easily. Sit in a comfortable posture and keep your thumb or any finger at a distance of around ten inches from your eyes. Focus on the finger or thumb and then shift your gaze to an object at about ten feet distance from your eyes and focus on that for five seconds. Then shift your focus to your thumb or finger again. Do this for about two to three minutes every day and make sure you do this exercise at a well lit place.
  • Follow the Clock: If you have blurred vision this is a great exercise for you. You need to use some imagination to do this simple and easy exercise for your eyes. Sit comfortably and close your eyes. Imagine a big clock in front of you and with your eyes closed focus on number 12. Then move your eyes from 12 to number 6 for 15-20 times, first counter clockwise and then clockwise. Then repeat the same and move your eyes from 3 to 9. Make sure you keep your eyes close while rotating them.
  • Palming: Palming is a yoga technique which is very effective to soothe tired eyes. The technique is really simple. Make sure you are sitting comfortably and close your eyes. Rub the palms of your hands together till they become warm. Place the warm palms on your eyes and let the warmth get absorbed into your eyes. Take some deep breaths and try to calm yourself. When your palms become cold, remove them from the eyes and repeat the process. You can do it three or four times at any time of the day.
  • Front and sideways viewing: Another good exercise for tired eyes and blurred vision is front and sideways glancing. Sit comfortably on the floor and keep your legs straight in front of you and place the right fist on your right knee. Keep your thumb in a position that it points towards the ceiling. Now focus on something right in front of you at the eye level and a distance of ten to twenty feet, take a deep breath. Then keep your head straight and shift your gaze to the right thumb and breathe out. Repeat for a few times and then do the same with your left thumb.
  • Rotational viewing:  Sit comfortably and keep your legs straight in front of you. Make a fist with your right hand and make sure that the thumb points upwards. Lift your arm and bring it up keeping your elbow straight. Now focus on your thumb. Keep your eyes on the thumb and trace an imaginary circle with it. Keep your head fixed and let your eyes move only. Do it both clockwise and anti-clockwise and repeat with the left hand.
